The tool is used to convert some specified type multimedia file to a new type file that can be played by MP3 player. "Some specified type multimedia file" includes: 1)AVI file (file extension name is avi), 2) Windows Media format file (file extension names are asf and wmv), 3) MPEG1 file (file extension names are mpg and mpeg), 4) Realplay Media file (file extension name is rm), 5) Quicktime type file (file extension name is mov), 6) MPEG2 file (file extension name is vob).

For Sound Converter is designed for format conversion from rcd to WAV, rec to WAV, act to WAV for recording files, with the function of files playback in WAV, MP3 format files included.

The definition of buttons on the interface is as the follows:

[Open] Open a file. If the file is in WAV or MP3 format, it can be played at once; If the file is in rcd/rec/act format, it should be converted first and then played.
[Convert] Start converting. This button is not available Except the file is in rcd/rec/act format.
[Help] Pop-up this dialog box.
[Exit] Exit this tool.

For MTV Converter, please make sure you have installed:

1) Windows Media Player 9.0 or above
2) Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or above

When convert Real Media, Quick Time, MPEG2 format file, please install related DirectShow filter. Otherwise, MTV Converter can not work normally.

How to convert a video file to .mtv format step by step.

Free Download the MTV Converter , install and run it, and a dialog box will be pop up.

Click the little right button of "Select source media file" to select a media file to be converted.

Click "Play" to play the current file in a pop-up window.

Check "Select audio file", and you can select a wave or mp3 file to replace the audio part of the source media file.

Click the little right button of "Select MTV file path" to select file directory of the generated file.

Click "Begin" to start converting. The lowest long rectangle area is a progress bar. It showed the progress status of converting.

Converting finished.

Befor converting, you can set some items. Click the button "Set", a dialog box will be popped.

Click "Cut source video snippet" to cut a snippet from source video to convert. But you must input start time and end time.

"Select screen width and height" have to choice, 96*64 and 128*96. The unit is pixel.

"Select audio bps" have two choice, 28k bps and 64k bps.

The choices of "Frames per second" are in combobox.

The choices of 16bit bitmap colorspace are used for adjusting the bitmap display.

Notify

To convert Realplay, Quicktime, and MPEG2 media file, please install the CODEC that they need.
If windows media player can't play the media file whose file format is RealMedia, Quicktime or MPEG(DVD), please install their codec , or don't convert them.
